Volunteer The Puppet Theater is looking for volunteers in the following category’s: Marketing: The theater is looking for a part time Marketing/Public Relations person to help coordinate the press releases and attend monthly meetings of the Balboa Park Marketing meetings. The duties of this position require about 10 to 15 hours a month. Most of the work can be done from a home computer and many of the duties are time sensitive. House Manager: This position would be responsible for coordination ushers, lighting people and maintenance coordination with the parks department. The House manager needs to be a person who can climb a ladder and perform light maintenance duties throughout the theater. This position would require approximately 5 to 10 hours a week. Gift Shop Coordinator: Our gift shop is a cart that will be positioned outside the theater before and after the show to sell small puppet items. The theater needs someone to set up the gift shop order puppets for sale and coordinate volunteers to work the cart. This position will require at least 5 hours a week. Lighting: Lighting people will run the light board and spotlight. The lighting person will coordinate with the House Manager to guarantee that all shows will have a lighting person. The lighting person will need to available usually on a Tuesday for rehearsal and then must be able to cover that show for the following week. Wednesday through Sunday.
